One of the most common problems that divers experience, is getting lost during the dive.  Decending down to 60 feet swimming around for about 30 mnutes then coming up to find the dive boat way off in the distance.  Even with my compass, I have had this happpen to me more than once.

Long Beach Dive now has an underwater GPS system available for the divers who is always getting lost, and are looking for new toy.  Long Beach Dive’s RECON Pro can be used on dives of 70 feet or less.  The RECON Pro use  an Integrated Garmin GPSMAP ® 172C or 178C Chartplotter / Sounder Global Positioning System receiver, with 200Mhz processor allowing for almost instantaneous screen refresh.  System is rated and fully submersible to a depth of 100 feet (30 meters). GPS can be used to a depth of 70 feet (21 meters).  So now there will be no excuse to come up 200 yards from the boat.
