Marine Biologist Report Coral Reefs in Danger
The Manila Times recently reported on an Dec. 2007 article in Science Daily, that coral reefs around The Philippines could be gone in 50 years . “It’s vital that the public understands that the lack of sustainability in the world’s carbon emissions is causing the rapid loss of coral reefs, the world’s most biodiverse marine ecosystem,”
Scubaology reported eariler this year about the coral reef problems resulting from climate warming. Without the coral reef eco-system, over 80% of life on earth could be affected. Hopefully it is not too late to start reversing the process.
