Ok, I have seen it all now. There are many ….For Dummies books available today, and now there is a Scuba Diving & Snorkeling for Dummies. As divers, we all know how important it is to dive safely. There are a lot of things that can go wrong underwater. In our dive class for example, one of the greatest challenges for the new diver is mask clearing. Doing it “by the book” could be really scary for new person learning to dive or snorkel. This “How To” book has the potential to get a novice diver/snorkeler in some serious trouble. This is not the way to learn this sport.  We also teach underwater ecology and  about protecting the marine environment.  So in this case I agree with the title……this book is for dummies.
