One of the most important websites every diver should know is DAN or Divers Alert Network.  DAN awareness is a must for all divers.  Hopefully you will never have to use it, but if there is an incident DAN is there to help.  DAN will help an emergency MD, who has little or no experience with medical dive problems, diagnosis and recommend treatment for medical incidents.

DAN insurance will pay for hyberbaric chamber use (often $1000/treatment or more), flights to a medical center and more.  I also encourage every diver to have a DAN TAG which contains all your medical emergency information, which can help save YOUR life.   We love our readers.
