Shedd Aquarium Diver

I am one of the most fortunate divers in Chicago. Two or more times every month, I am lucky enough to dive on a Caribbean Reef (water temp. 78F) in Chicago. I am one of the volunteer divers at the John G. Shedd Aquarium.

My Caribbean Reef diving includes feeding a variety of reef animals including, rays, moray eels, sharks, parrot fish and many more. During the dive I also get to talk to the guests visiting the aquarium about a Caribbean Reef, and answer their questions through an audio system built into my mask. One of the best parts is seeing the children smile when I wave at them, and their wonderment with all the varieties of animals who inhabit the reef.

The Shedd Aquarium recently had a birth of a baby Beluga whale. The Shedd currently has Faust, a Komodo Dragon lizard on exhibit through February, 2007
